Neumos: This is Seattle U’s closest venue! Right in the middle of Capitol Hill, I’d say it’s one of the best, hosting a variety of new and up and coming artists. It is a 5 minute walk from campus. Artist that have played here in the last few months include The Vaccines, Haerts, Penguin Prison, Snakehips, and Dan Deacon.

Bus: Don’t bus.
The Crocodile: All the best rap shows I went to last year were at this venue! Just a heads up though, at some shows they split up a large portion of the venue for those who are 21+ which kind of makes the view for us under 21 prettttty shitty. But still a good venue.

By Ground: Travel down to 3rd turn right, and Travel over to Blanchard St. 1 hr
Bus: #2 Bus towards Downtown Seattle from E. Union and Broadway St. and get off at 3rd and Virginia! Walk down 3rd and take a left on Blanchard Street. 15 mins
Key Arena: This is where all the big events are. If you like raves, you may want to check out Freak Night. Everyone big plays here. Last year people from Kanye West to Justin Timberlake played here.

Bus: To get there take the 2 bus on Madison and Union toward Downtown Seattle and get off at 1st Ave and Republican St. The Key Arena should be visible from there. 30 mins
El Corazon: If you are interested in punk/metal/hardcore this is the venue for you! (There is also the Black Lodge down the street which hosts a lot of local punk shows) It may be easier to walk here instead of taking the bus! It is about 1 mile, and not worth any of the worry about bus transfers. Artists who have played here in the previous year include: The Story So Far, La Dispute, The Devil Wears Prada, and Man Overboard.

By Ground: Travel West to Boren Avenue. Turn right on Boren Avenue. Walk on Boren street. Take a right on Howell Street. Travel until you see El Corazon on your left. 45 mins
The Vera Project: This is an all ages focused venue. Bands range from punk to folk to hip hop.

Walk: Travel to the needle! Cross the fountain. Vera is located next to Key Arena. 1 hr
Bus: #2 Bus towards Downtown Seattle from E. Union and Broadway St. and get off at 3rd and Virginia! Walk down 3rd and take a left on Blanchard Street. 30ish mins
The Neptune Theatre: This is the smallest of the Seattle Theatre Groups owned venues. This venue focuses of folk rock bands but occasionally has some good hip-hop shows.

Bus: #2 or 3 toward Madrona or 4 toward Judkins park! Transfer to bus 48 towards Loyal Heights. Get off at 15th and NE Campus way. Take first left and the Neptune is right next to American Apparel. 20 mins
The Moore Theatre: Also owned by Seattle Theatre Group this venue hosts bigger bands than The Neptune does, but focuses more on traveling plays and theatre.

By Ground: Travel down to 2nd Ave turn right, and walk over to Virginia st. Turn right and it will be right there! 1hr
Bus: #2 Bus towards Downtown Seattle from E. Union and Broadway St. and get off at 3rd and Virginia! Bus #3 or 4 from Jefferson and Broadway also work. 15 mins
The Paramount Theatre: This is the largest of the STG owned venues. Huge indie acts and the most popular theatrical performances play here.

By Ground: Walk from campus to Pine St. Take a left on Pine and walk until around 8th street. The Paramount will be on the left. There’s a big sign that says PARAMOUNT vertically. 40 mins
The Showbox at The Market: This is the smaller of the Showbox venues owned by AEG live. This venue focuses on up and coming popular music that has already hit the mainstream.

By Ground: Travel from campus to Pike street. Take a left on Pike down to 3rdavenue. Travek from 3rd ave to 1st ave. Take a left on 1st avenue. Showbox will be on the left. 45 mins
Bus: #2, 3, or 4 Bus towards Downtown Seattle from E. Union and Broadway St. and get off at 3rd Pike! Travel south and Showbox will be on your left. 20 mins
The Showbox SoDo: This is the larger of the Showbox Venues. This venue hosts many bands that have hit the big time and have dropped slightly off of the mainstream in the genres of hip hop and pop rock.

By Ground: Travel South of Campus to Jackson St. Take a right on Jackson St. Take a left on 4th. Take a right on Holgate. Take a right on 1st. Showbox will be on your right. 1.5 hrs
Bus: #2, 3, or 4 Bus towards Downtown Seattle from E. Union and Broadway St. and get off at 3rd and pike! Take a left on 3rd. Transfer to bus 21 toward Westwood Village. Get off at 4th and Holgate. Travel to 1st and Holgate. Take a right. SoDo will be on your right. 40 mins
