JULY 8: FEMALE FIENDS, BEIGE RADIO, CANDYSOUND, THE CITY HALL

The Vera Project // 8 PM // $8 ADV // All Ages

Our friends at Vera have a great lineup for this upcoming Friday. This set of all-local bands ranging from “sad boy party rock” to “cuddle rock” will put on a pretty killer show. (You have to love how creative these genres are getting nowadays.)

JULY 13: SUB POP COVER NIGHT

Neumos // 8 PM // $8 ADV // 21+

For all of you Sub Pop fans like myself, this is a show you won’t want to miss! A bunch of great local bands will be covering classics from our favorite Sub Pop bands. The bands include American Island, Sebastian and the Deep Blue, bod, Scott Yoder, TELLERS, The Good Wives, Tinfoil and Tape, and Eastern Souvenirs. Not the best, but pretty good, am I right? (Just in case that wasn’t clear, that was a Sub Pop slogan joke. I actually love the lineup. 10/10.)

JULY 13: MITSKI

The Crocodile // $12 ADV // 8 PM // All Ages

If you’re not 21+, fear not, we’ve still got you covered! Another great artist is in town: New-York-based artist, Mitski. She’ll be gracing the stage along with special guests, Japanese Breakfast and Jay Som.

JULY 15: SLOUCHER’S ALBUM RELEASE PARTY

Rancho Bravo // 6 PM // Free // All Ages

Tacos, burritos, and a fantastic album release—what could be better? Nothing. The answer is nothing. Rancho Bravo may honestly turn into one of my favorite venues? Sloucher is relatively new band with members who all come from well-developed PNW bands like Makeup Monsters, Hibou, The Globes, and bod. They’ve released two songs from their new album, Certainty, but I can’t wait to hear the album in its entirety while eating 50 tacos.

JULY 22-24: CAPITOL HILL BLOCK PARTY

Capitol Hill (1122 E Pike St.) // Times Vary // Ticket Prices Vary // All Ages (with some 21+ stages)

This is arguably the biggest Capitol Hill event of the summer. This year’s lineup consists of an excellently curated pool of local and national talents including ODESZA, CHVRCHES, The Cave Singers, NAO, Thunderpussy, Iska Dhaaf, and more. We’re super stoked to see some of our favorite local bands on the lineup, too!
