Concerts in Seattle are back and better than ever, this time with Ari Hest and Stephanie Schneiderman. What a better way to conclude the second week of 2018, then with some incredible live music. These two talented singer-songwriters will be at The Triple Door this Sunday, January 14th, for an entertaining night, guaranteed to feed your musical soul.

Opening for Ari Hest is Northwest artist Stephanie Schneiderman. Not only is she an incredible musician, making her own unique and organic music, playing drums for all-star roots pop act Swan Sovereign (formerly Dirty Martini), and stepping on the stage in the musical The Full Monty; but she has also produced a wildly successful humanitarian concert series for refugees in Uganda (raising over $70k). Playing piano and guitar, as well as featuring 45th Parallel String Quartet and a choir, her latest music satisfies fans with the simplicity of showcasing her songs and voice in their naked and raw form.

Ari Hest became interested in music when he was a teenager growing up in the Bronx. Though he’d taken piano lessons as a child, he taught himself how to play the guitar by listening to records from his parents’ collections and to alternative radio. While studying at NYU, he hit the East Coast college circuit, performing a mix of covers and his own material.

The exposure built him a respectable regional following, which he bolstered with self-released albums in the early 2000s (Coming Home and Story After Story). Hest signed with Columbia Records in 2003 and issued Someone to Tell a year later. Since then, Hest has released many albums and EPs that keep fans happy and wanting more. His most recent album, Natural, was released in 2017 and has already received positive feedback from fans on Spotify.

Ari said, “In these past 15 years, I’ve played in every state in the U.S. and toured extensively throughout Europe. I’ve had the honor of playing with a slew of incredible musicians wherever I’ve gone. I feel extremely fortunate to be able to sing and play music for a living. I wanna keep it going for as long as possible. It’s good for my soul, and I love knowing that what I create can have a real impact on people.”
