A Preview of EPOCH Shows at Bad Jimmy’s Brewing Co.

Live music and ‘INTENSE ALES:’ (all caps intentional): what more could you ask for? EPOCH Shows will be making its debut at Bad Jimmy’s Brewing Co. for a night of great local music, amazing ales for your thirsty needs, and good eats, too!

I’ll be honest: the folks at Kellyco Enterprises curated a great set of bands for the night, ranging from folk punk to glam rock. The first band is no stranger to Seattle U and KXSU—Moguls (previously known as Albatross) will kick things off with their self-proclaimed “vaguely folkish alterna-punk” vibes.

Neu Yeuth, an electro-pop duo, will also be making an appearance. They are fairly new faces to the Seattle music scene, as they started playing together after having met on Craigslist in late 2015. Since then, they have played with lots of different bands including Givers & Takers, Moon Darling, and Scott Yoder. Their recently-debuted self-titled EP was released on May 22 of this year, and personally, I am so stoked to see them perform songs from that EP live.

Fruit Juice is a glam rock band hailing from Olympia, WA. After going on a mini-break at the beginning of this year, Fruit Juice is back and ready for action. They’ve gained attention from Northwest Music Scene, KEXP, and Nada Mucho, and for good reason, too.

Portland’s Animal Eyes is a band that I’ve been craving to see live, so I’m pretty excited to see them on the lineup. Their newest album, Where We Go, is the perfect blend of experimental rock and alternative pop. They also recently released a music video for one of the songs off of the album, “Zeke/Wizard”!

Finally, one of Seattle’s staple bands, Fauna Shade, will be headlining the night with their classic psych rock. I, myself, have seen these dudes play quite a few times, and they never fail to put on a good set. They recently had a live session at KEXP and have played several notable venues recently, such as Sasquatch Music Festival, Fisherman’s Village Music Festival, and they even showed up as surprise guests at Sloucher’s album release show at Capitol Hill’s Rancho Bravo.

Overall, the night has a collection of motley, colorful bands to enjoy whilst sipping on some of Bad Jimmy’s Ale. To help you prep for this killer show, check out our very good pal Marcus Shriver’s playlist!

EPOCH Shows will take place on Friday, August 12 at 5 p.m. at Fremont’s Bad Jimmy’s Brewing Co. This show is 21+ and IDs are required to enter. Tickets are on sale now here!
