Real Estate & Sun Equates to Spring, Right?

Spring is upon us! The sun is starting to shine (occasionally…c’mon, I know you can do it!) and my workload has suddenly tripled. If you’re anything like me, you enjoy a chill playlist to listen to while laying in the sun, or walking near the Puget Sound. With the help of five wonderful musicians, your chill playlist has already been created! Gorgeous melodies, hip guys, and pleasant songwriting: that’s what you should be able to look up on Google for Real Estate to pop up. (Instead, when you look up, ‘Real Estate,’ a ton of houses pop up.)

I and many others have been waiting three years for another album to be put into Real Estate’s discography, which is full of dreamy tunes. Real Estate has blessed fans with yet another piece of artwork that fills the ears into a wonderful bliss. In their recently released album, In Mind, the New Jersey boys have mastered the art of continually fine-tuning their sound, without entirely changing it. They’ve kept old fans engaged, and gained the attention of new fans. What a way to spend a Wednesday night (and hopefully not a rainy one): jamming out to the tunes of In Mind at The Showbox.

Set to open is Tim Cohen, a musician from San Francisco with a very eclectic sound. His solo work consists primarily of indie music with synthetic and psychedelic influences. Also set to open is Seattle-bad band, iji.

You can catch Real Estate at The Showbox on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. This is an all ages event. Tickets can be found here.
