Get ready for Tuesday’s RockSteady show! Featuring DJ sets by Sov., RockSteady’s very own DJ MiRo and RAF, and special guest DJ Kyo-Ken. The local DJ’s have teamed up with Human Condition Magazine, a newly formed, independent bi-annual printed magazine dedicated to showcasing the talent of local Seattle artists, for a showcase at LoveCityLove. The show aims to echo an intimate, European nightclub, with minimal lighting to place the focus on the music and dancing.

Sov. is DJ and producer Seva Galitskiy, originally from Oakland, CA, who has played a few shows around Cap Hill. Sov. mixes sporadic footwork combined with lo-fi house and R&B vibes. (Seva is also a member of KXSU’s Editorial Team!) Here is some of his own production material:

DJ MiRo was born in Italy but considers Atlanta home and he created RockSteady this year to fill a niche in the Seattle art scene. With RockSteady, he hopes to create a platform for tastemakers to showcase and perform with like-minded individuals. RockSteady shows aim to counter the anti-social social party environment developing in the digital age, by spinning rhythmic nostalgia on the decks. You can expect new and old school rap, layered upon some funky soul to vibe to.
