I know finals are coming up and the fog is rolling in, but I am keeping my head up in anticipation for Friday, November 30th, let me tell you why.

  1. John Craigie is coming to Seattle to perform at The Triple Door.
  2. I have been looking forward to this show for a year (after I saw him in Seattle last year I knew I would want to see him again.)
  3. John Craigie is hilarious!!! Seriously, when Google told me he was known for his “storytelling and sense of humor” I did not know what to expect, but he is laugh out loud funny.
  4. He has songs called “Let’s Talk This Over, When We’re Sober, And Not At Burning Man” and “I Almost Stole Some Weed From Todd Snider” (C’mon… don’t those names make you want to listen??)
  5. He wrote a song after the presidential election in an attempt to “get people out of their dark whole” by making them laugh, and it’s very funny; let me give you a verse:

“I did my research, I tried to find some silver lining, I hope you can appreciate my findings, here’s what I found… It is historically proven, that when the president is a Republican, we have better music. Artists are better when they’re bummed!” -John Craigie in Presidential Silver Lining

      6. Well, I am looking forward to Friday also because it means I don’t have class for two              days.
7. I am also looking forward to Friday because my sister is coming to Seattle! (Yes, she                seriously flew 865 miles to see John Craigie at The Triple Door with me.)
8. John Craigie is coming to Seattle.
9.  I am going to see John Craigie again.
10. I get to see my sister AND John Craigie in one night.

So, yeah, I will be in a good mood all week, no matter what nursing school throws at me because John Craigie is coming to The Triple Door on Friday!!! And throughout his tour, John Craigie has been collecting new/gently used sleeping bags, jackets, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, etc. to donate to ROOTS, plus $1 from every ticket will be donated as well. Tickets can be found here. Connect with John Craigie on Instagram, Facebook or on his Official Website.
