KXSU Is Now Officially Legit

Happy National Radio Day, folks!

Over the next year, there are several hyper localized low power radio stations that will be added to the FM dial in Seattle. And KXSU is going to be the very first! As you know, we’ve been working really hard to make this transition for quite a while, so this is a very exciting time for us. As a student-powered radio station, this is a pretty big deal!

Some of the new local radio stations, including KXSU, were represented today at a National Radio Day celebration put on by Brown Paper Tickets at the downtown Seattle Public Library. Pop-up radio station Hollow Earth Radio was broadcasting throughout the event. Head Reporter Marcus Shriver was there representing KXSU, answering questions from Rainier Valley Radio, which was broadcast on Hollow Earth.

See ya on the air waves!

You can find out more about National Radio Day here and on Facebook.
