Looking into the final day of Bumbershoot, and I’m pleased to say that my plans on who to see are fairly manageable…except for the 4 o’clock hour. That’s when the Bumbershoot scheduling gods are deciding to test me.

THUNDERPUSSY @ KEXP (4:10 – 4:50 p.m.)

Thunderpussy graced us with their presence at Capitol Hill Block Party, putting on a mind-blowing show with power-heavy guitar riffs and sultry, encompassing vocals. There’s no doubt that it will be worth seeing again.

MAIAH MANSER @ The Starbucks Stage (4:20 – 4:50 p.m.)

Maiah

Maiah Manser has called Seattle home for the past seven years, and it truly shows in her music. Getting ready to release her new single, “Second Skin,” off of her EP of the same title, Manser prepares to provide an unmasked and honest performance, with influences from both the organic and digital inspirations this city has to offer.

MANATEE COMMUNE @ KeyArena (4:30 – 5:00 p.m.)

Manatee Commune will be performing his second set of the festival, having played his first on Saturday afternoon at KEXP. Through his organically-complex soundscapes and upbeat synth-made breaks, it’s easy to identify the influences he’s pulled from residing in the Pacific Northwest. With his second time around being held at KeyArena, prepare yourself for a larger, voluminous sound from the Bellingham-based musician.

THE FLAVR BLUE @ Fisher Green (4:30 – 5:10 p.m.)

Seattle’s own The Flavr Blue knows how to put on a show. Led by Seattle University alumna Hollis Wong-Wear, the electro-R&B trio set out on their own headlining tour in celebration of their new Love Notes EP through February and March, only to return and pack up again to support Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on their national tour in June. Right now, they’re at the top of their game.

MELANIE MARTINEZ @ The Main Stage (4:30 – 5:20 p.m.)

It may be safe to say that Melanie Martinez has my heart. This incredibly talented 21-year-old beauty already has sold-out shows on the international leg of her Cry Baby Tour, in honor of her debut studio album of the same name, which was released just a few weeks ago. Though she’s got twinkling melodies and a voice as sweet as candy, there’s nothing to sugarcoat when it comes to this girl. She may be young, but she knows what she’s doing.

All five stages, occupied by five artists who I have been DYING to see live, with each one starting within the same hour. This is a joke, right?

Going past the stressful hour that this festival is about to put me through, there are a handful of artists I have no worries about seeing that are worth being noted:

SHAPRECE @ Fisher Green (5:35 – 6:15 p.m.)

CASHMERE CAT @ KeyArena (6:05 – 6:50 p.m.)

KAMASI WASHINGTON @ Starbucks Stage (8:00 – 9:00 p.m.)

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE @ The Main Stage (9:10 – 10:50 p.m.)

Happy Bumb-ing, everyone!
