There’s something strangely satisfying about telling people you’re going to a concert solely for the opener. Does it make you cooler? No. Do people think that it makes them cooler? Probably. This is exactly what I’ve been doing for the past month when I talk about seeing Minnesota duo Remo Drive at the Showbox this Friday.

Remo Drive is opening for Saves the Day on the February 22nd, and I’m beyond excited to hear their bold and angsty tunes come to life.

Commonly labeled anywhere from indie rock to pop punk to emo, but brothers Erik and Stephen Paulson aren’t tied down to any genre when they make music. Their lyrics are ruthless and raw, balanced with bright melodies and captivating instrumentals bound to get ingrained in your head within just a couple listens.

Remo Drive have visited Seattle a couple times within the last year, including opening for Sorority Noise at Chop Suey and more recently, headlining at the Vera Project last summer. This upcoming Showbox show will be their biggest yet in the city, and tickets aren’t sold out yet, so make sure to check the show out!

The show starts at 8:00 PM with Remo Drive second on the lineup! You can buy tickets here, and check out more of what they have to offer on their website.
