Okay, okay, we know that Sub Pop has promoted some not so “music lover” stuff like the Head and the Heart, but in the Head and the Heart’s defense their first album was amazing! And in Sub Pop’s defense, they still release more True music than any other label and still keep somewhat independent in the industry! This is why Seattle loves Sub Pop!! From Mudhoney to the Dum Dum girls, Beach House to Shabazz Palaces, Sub Pop’s wide array of music is more than just revolutionary, it’s awesome to listen to.
Now, this being said, I doubt we will hear any Shabazz Palaces covers, but with a lineup including Hobosexual, Cataldo, Black Whales, and Skates!, I am sure we will hear some awesome Mudhoney and Kingtuff covers! Each band looks like they will be playing only a few songs so we will see a huge variety of Sup Pop love, I am sure!
