“Who Needs You,” I Have The Orwells: A Preview of The Orwells at The Crocodile

I’ve noticed that there are a ton of great Chicago bands on the music scene right now. I mean, come on: there’s Whitney, The Walters, Twin Peaks, and the reasoning of this article, The Orwells. (Of course, the list could go on and on. Please forgive me; I just really dig these artists.)

The Orwells

Two years after the release of their sophomore album, Disgraceland, The Orwells are set to release a third album, Terrible Human Beings, on February 17th, 2017. Before the release of Terrible Human Beings, The Orwells are hitting the road and stopping at The Crocodile on Tuesday, November 15th, 2016.

I have a feeling that, judging by their similarity to Twin Peaks, there will be a great deal of moshing. The Orwells are also known for their frenetic live performances and overall mantra of not caring about what others think of them. I dig it.

Dante Elephante

California indie rock band Dante Elephante is set to open for The Orwells. With a second album produced by Jonathan Rado of Foxygen, Dante Elephante portrays a brighter sound than The Orwells. Check out their tracks “Pop Song” and “Pasadena Dreams” to see what I mean.

Don’t miss The Orwells with Dante Elephante at The Crocodile on Tuesday, November 15th. This is an all ages event with doors opening at 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be found here.
