Last year around this time, on a whim I went to go see Louis the Child at The Showbox Sodo. To this day it is one of my most memorable concerts ever. With their loud, fun, danceable music and their impressive light show, it was a night I will not forget. Well GUESS WHAT!? They are back and bigger than ever. Louis the Child is coming to WaMu Theater on Saturday, December 1st! And it a show that you don’t want to miss.

Louis the Child consists of Freddy Kennett and Robby Hauldren, who have taken the music industry by storm in recent years. The Chicago-area pair went to the same high school and had their own respective projects, but their paths never crossed. After meeting on March 18, 2012 at a Madeon concert, the pair decided to join forces and start making music together, even though Kennett was wrapping up high school and Hauldren had just enrolled at the University of Southern California.

With over 50 million Spotify streams, Louis the Child provides their fans electronic bliss through stadium-ready anthems such as “It’s Strange” featuring K.Flay and their ‪Icona Pop collaboration “Weekend”. On the most recent release, “Love Is Alive” (ft. Elohim), their versatility and emotional range shines through brightest, showcasing an understated tenderness, which Billboard praised as “soft and soothing.”

Their most recent album Kids At Play came out this year in 2018 and let me tell you it is good! They collaborated with artists such as RAYE, Wafia, Elohim, MAX, Quinn XCII, NoMBe, and Big Gigantic. My favorite song off this new album is “Better Not (with Wafia)”, it is the perfect mix between chill and electronic (I am a big fan of that soft EDM).
